My name is Matt Leyland and I’m a student at McMaster University studying Mechanical Engineering and Management. I am currently in my 3rd year of my studies and I am the Mechanical Co-Lead for the McMaster Engineering EcoCAR3 team, a team focused on the development of a performance hybrid electric Camaro where I spend the better part of my free time designing and implementing mechanical systems. Through the EcoCAR competition I found my passion for automotive design and have gained experience working with interdisciplinary teams and industry grade software such as Siemens NX.
